Heavily inspired by Joyce Tenneson's Flower Portraits book with lovely tritone reproduction. Obviously a bit tough to do that on a screen! I used a mono conversion subsequently colorized (ghastly word) combined with a sepia tint layer and plenty of fiddling with the blending modes. Wish I could remember exactly what I did now . . .
I just quite like the graphic nature of this, and the rich colour.
Pretty sure I did this with a reversed lens which, believe me, isn't easy. took about 30 shots of this fellow, of which this is the least bad but I'm still not that happy with it. The wife likes it though.

I think this is another reversed lens job - I just love that tiny DoF you get.
More purple. Actually there's some iffy colour reproduction there because I'm fairly confident it's the center of a cornflower. Nonetheless I liked it so this is pretty much as it came out of the camera. Another reversed lens shot.
